Hot August Nights August – Classic Cars On The Green
August 14 - August 15
Registration is now open for the 4th annual Romeo St. Jacques Memorial, August 14th and 15th at The Park @ Crown Isle. With the recent re-opening plan laid out by the province, we are ready to go ahead with a full weekend of classic cars. This year we will again be raising funds for the Comox Valley Child Development Association. We believe the future of car shows should be free for the entrants and contributions should come from the visitors – the Car is the Star, and we are celebrating all your hard work on your vehicle. The car show and cruise, along with Friday Meet & Greet and Saturday lunch, are all included in your free entry to the Hot August Nights weekend.
The weekend will kick off with a Meet & Greet on Friday, August 13th at Crown Isle Resort. Join us from 7 – 9pm for a complimentary wine and cheese reception in the Ballroom or out on the grass (will confirm with Covid protocols in place at time of event). This event is for car show entrants only, smart casual dress.
The car show will run on Saturday from 10am – 3pm with cars lining the fairways of the beautiful setting at The Park at 1239 Anderton Road. View incredible classic cars, while the smell of the BBQ smoulders through the air and the sound of rock & roll music echoes through the trees. The band Cruise Control plays music across the decades to appeal to all ages. Spectator entry to the show will be $10/adult or $20/family.
Saturday evening, return to Crown Isle for an outdoor Dinner & Dance with live music. More details will come in early July including the menu, band and more. This is a ticketed event and tickets will be available for purchase in July – car show entrants will have first pick of tickets before admission is opened to the general public.
Finish off your car weekend with a Comox Valley cruise on Sunday starting at noon. Cars will line up the same as last year along Crown Isle Drive, in preparation for the start. The cruise map will be sent out in advance as well as being available on the day of. Designated donation cars will ride in the cruise to collect donations for CVCDA from spectators watching along the route.
Our number one priority is the safety of the car owners and our community. We will keep you updated on current public health orders.
We look forward to seeing all of you on August 14th and 15th. Until then, stay safe and hit the open road!!
